Gurriers Are Moving Fast. Dallas Gets Them Before the Next Album Lands.
Gurriers arrive at House of Blues Dallas on September 11 in the short window between records, with their debut still carrying momentum and album number two already beginning to change the shape of the band.

The Irish five-piece broke through with 2024’s Come and See, a record that pulled from post-punk, noise rock and shoegaze without sounding particularly interested in sitting neatly inside any of them. Their second album, Nobody’s Coming To Save You, arrives September 25 through Play It Again Sam, exactly two weeks after the Dallas show.
That timing makes the Cambridge Room date more interesting than a standard pass through the first album. Gurriers have already started introducing the next phase of the band, while the last two years have seen them move through increasingly bigger stages, including Glastonbury, Later… with Jools Holland and support runs with Turnstile and Kneecap.
The appeal is still easiest to understand live. Songs like “Nausea,” “Des Goblin,” “Approachable” and “Close Call” take the political frustration, online exhaustion and general unease running through Come and See and turn it into something much more immediate. The record has plenty on its mind, but Gurriers rarely let the ideas get in the way of the songs.
The Cambridge Room should suit them particularly well. Gurriers have built a reputation around shows where the distance between the band and the audience disappears quickly, and they are currently at that useful point where their trajectory is moving faster than the size of some of the rooms they are still playing.
With a new album arriving two weeks later, Dallas gets Gurriers at an interesting point: no longer introducing themselves, but not yet finished becoming whatever comes next.
