Minneapolis five-piece Porch Light have released two new tracks, “Paranoia” and “James,” ahead of their debut album Hush, out September 18 via Mom + Pop. Just days after the album arrives, the band will kick off their first North American headlining tour in Dallas with a September 22 show at Club Dada.
The new double single shows two different sides of Porch Light. “Paranoia” digs into the instability and blurred lines of a collapsing relationship, while “James” finds vocalist Jackie Uhas writing about discovering love again after believing the opportunity had already passed.
Recorded at Pachyderm Studios with producer Caleb Wright, Hush spans 11 tracks and follows earlier singles “Arctic” and “Under.” The album was built around the same direct, live-band approach that has taken Porch Light from Minneapolis house shows to appearances at Lollapalooza, Hinterland and Shaky Knees.
Porch Light play Club Dada in Dallas on September 22, with the tour continuing through Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and a hometown date at First Avenue in Minneapolis.
