ARCADIA
Double Wide
Arcadia turns Double Wide into a global New Wave dance floor Saturday night, with resident DJs La Bruja and Gabe Mendoza joined by crate digger, ethnomusicologist and turntablist Wild Wata. Expect a deep, wide-ranging run through New Wave and ’80s sounds from the UK, Mexico, China, the former USSR and well beyond, with the party running from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. and no cover.

IAN ASHER
Silo, Dallas
Ian Asher has turned viral remixes, mashups and an enormous social following into a rapidly growing career behind the decks. The young producer brings his high-energy, instantly recognizable take on dance music to SILO Saturday night, where the room and production should be a particularly good match for what he does.

Saturday, September 5
THE CRYSTAL METHOD
Trees
One of the defining names of ’90s American electronic music lands in Deep Ellum Saturday night. The Crystal Method helped bring big beat and electronic music into the American mainstream with records like Vegas and tracks including “Busy Child” and “Keep Hope Alive,” and getting to hear that catalog inside Trees should make for a properly loud trip back through dance-music history.
