MATTHEW MCNEAL w/ BRAD GOODALL
The Post, Fort Worth
Fresh off winning the inaugural JAMBALOO Music Prize for HIGHLONESOME, Matthew McNeal returns to The Post Thursday night. McNeal’s songs sit somewhere between country, rock and Americana, with HIGHLONESOME pushing that sound into some of his warmest and most assured writing yet. Brad Goodall opens the night.

HAYLA w/ ELLA ROSA
The Studio at The Bomb Factory, Dallas
HAYLA has spent the last few years becoming one of dance music’s most recognizable voices, appearing alongside everyone from John Summit and ILLENIUM to Kx5, Kygo and MEDUZA. Now she’s putting her own name at the front of the bill with The Dark Tour, which brings her to The Studio Friday night for a full headline set. Ella Rosa opens.

DAIISTAR w/ BATTERY LICKER + COMO LA FLOR
Double Wide, Dallas
Austin’s DAIISTAR bring their hazy collision of noise-pop, shoegaze and neo-psych back to Dallas Saturday night, filling Double Wide with the kind of guitars and synths that make that room particularly useful. The rest of the bill stays appropriately strange: Dallas industrial-punk trio Battery Licker and Fort Worth heavy-shoegaze band Como La Flor. Three bands, ten bucks, Double Wide. Hard to argue with that.
