Bowling For Soup will return to North Texas later this month, playing the State Fair of Texas at Fair Park on Tuesday, September 29. The Texas pop-punk mainstays arrive after a summer spent touring with Simple Plan and 3OH!3, alongside appearances on select Vans Warped Tour dates.
Formed in Wichita Falls in 1994 before relocating to Denton, Bowling For Soup went on to turn songs including “Girl All The Bad Guys Want,” “1985,” “Punk Rock 101” and “High School Never Ends” into some of the most recognizable pop-punk singles of the era. More than three decades in, the band are still touring heavily, now with Jaret Reddick, Gary Wiseman and Rob Felicetti following longtime guitarist Chris Burney’s retirement earlier this year.
The Dallas date lands at the State Fair of Texas on September 29, with the band also recently releasing covers of Simple Plan’s “I’m Just a Kid” and Sum 41’s “In Too Deep.”
