she’s green bring their “moss music” to Club Dada
Minneapolis five-piece she’s green have landed somewhere in the middle of the current shoegaze resurgence without ever sounding particularly interested in being a shoegaze revival band.

The band describe what they do as “moss music,” which probably tells you more about them than another collection of genre tags would. There are certainly Slowdive and Cocteau Twins traces in the guitars, but she’s green pair all of that density with dream pop, indie rock and Zofia Smith’s vocals sitting quietly at the center. The result can be delicate one minute and considerably heavier the next.
They come to Club Dada on October 18 behind swallowtail, their new seven-song EP released in July through Photo Finish Records. Produced, engineered and mixed by Sonny DiPerri, the record is a noticeable expansion of the sound they established across 2023’s wisteria and last year’s Chrysalis. Songs like “empty house,” “paper thin” and “close your eyes” leave considerably more room around the band without losing the distortion underneath it.
It’s also a great bill. Chicago band smush work in similarly blown-out territory, while Dallas’ Witches Exist make this more than a touring-band stop dropped onto the Dada calendar.
The three bands approach heavy, atmospheric guitar music from slightly different directions, which should make the whole night feel considered rather than simply assembled around a headliner.
