Molly Tuttle has released So Long Little Miss Sunshine (Acoustic EP), a five-song companion to her Grammy-nominated 2025 album, out now via Nonesuch Records
Recorded with touring bandmates Vanessa McGowan and Mary Meyer and produced by Steve Berns, the EP pulls five songs from So Long Little Miss Sunshine back to their foundations, putting Tuttle’s voice, guitar playing and songwriting firmly at the center.
The collection includes acoustic versions of “The Highway Knows,” “Rosalee,” “Easy,” “Old Me (New Wig)” and “Story of My So-Called Life.”
The original So Long Little Miss Sunshine marked a noticeable expansion of Tuttle’s sound, pushing beyond the bluegrass framework she built her reputation on and into pop, country and rock while retaining the flat-picking guitar work at the center of her music. The stripped-down EP offers another perspective on those songs, removing much of that broader production and bringing them closer to the room in which they were written.
It arrives during another busy year for Tuttle. So Long Little Miss Sunshine is nominated for Best Americana Album at the 2026 Grammys, while “That’s Gonna Leave A Mark” is nominated for Best Americana Performance. Tuttle is also up for Artist of the Year at this month’s Americana Music Awards and Guitar Player of the Year at the 2026 IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards.
Tuttle remains on tour throughout the fall.
