Women from DFW’s most influential indie record stores discuss community, vinyl culture, the realities of running an independent business, the DFW music scene, and what it means to be a woman in music, in Dallas and beyond.

Victoria Jameson
Get Records With Me
Victoria Jameson is a former reality TV survivor who decided to turn her internet chaos and lifelong fangirl status into a full-time career, mostly so she could write off concert tickets as a business expense. Her latest venture is Get Records With Me, Deep Ellum’s newest indie record store and alternative vintage boutique. In the digital space, Victoria leverages a decade of experience and a following of over one million to offer consulting for TikTok and social media strategy.

Katie Scott
Red Zeppelin Records
Katie Scott has been in the record industry for over 12 years. She opened her first shop, The Groovy Coop in 2015, and followed up with Red Zeppelin Records in 2020. She hosts live music in store and strives to be a leader in the North Texas music scene. Female and queer representation are important to her and she tries to reflect that in everything she does.

Melissa Hurtado
Spinster Records
I’m a proud worker at Spinster Records, been at it for four years. Born in Dallas, raised in the Oak Cliff area. I’m a vinyl DJ and mainly spin at Ladylove. I Love to work with the women in our community and uplift our future women DJ and casual Vinyl listeners.
