Denton alternative-rock five-piece Saint Blonde have released their debut album, …with little ease, via Pale Chord / Rise Records BMG.
Produced by Courtney Ballard, whose credits include 5 Seconds of Summer, Waterparks and All Time Low, the 13-track record finds Saint Blonde pushing against the increasingly manufactured side of modern music, pulling together post-punk, surf rock, punk and hook-heavy alternative rock without sounding particularly interested in chasing whatever happens to be trending.
For vocalist Hunter Fitch, the album’s title reflects the long road to actually making it. Saint Blonde went through personal loss, lineup changes and a complete reset during COVID, with the record gradually becoming a place for the band to work through frustration, identity, uncertainty and what they describe as the absurdity of modern life.
The album includes previously released singles “trendsetter,” “prowl,” “gimme my flowers,” “dirty $$$,” “chainwhip” and “smooth talkin’.”
Saint Blonde will support All Get Out on tour this fall, including a hometown-area stop at AM/FM in Dallas on November 4, before appearing at Vans Warped Tour Orlando on November 14.
