Teenage Fanclub have shared “There Was You,” the latest single from their forthcoming album Do Not Dare To Dream, out October 9 via Merge Records.
Opening the album, the track pairs a waltz rhythm with warm guitars and the kind of easy melody the band have spent nearly four decades refining. It follows lead single “Day in the Sun” and arrives with a new video.
Do Not Dare To Dream is Teenage Fanclub’s 13th studio album and the follow-up to 2023’s Nothing Lasts Forever. Recorded at Black Bay Studio on the Scottish island of Great Bernera, the record finds Norman Blake, Raymond McGinley and the band leaning further into collaboration, leaving more space for songs to develop together in the studio.
“There Was You” is out now. Do Not Dare To Dream arrives October 9.
