Soccer Mommy has returned with “Rings of Saturn,” the first new music from Sophie Allison since the release of Evergreen in 2024.
Produced by Elliott Kozel — whose credits include Rosalía, Björk, SZA, Slow Pulp and Indigo De Souza — the new track finds Allison looking outward during a period when things closer to home felt less certain. She wrote the song during a difficult stretch, spending nights outside with a telescope and finding some perspective in the sheer scale of what she was looking at.
“There’s something about feeling small that can kind of take the weight off,” Allison says of the song, which arrives alongside a visualizer created by Suji Park.
“Rings of Saturn” follows Soccer Mommy’s recent dates opening for Liz Phair and Sleater-Kinney and arrives just ahead of a co-headline tour with longtime friend Snail Mail. The run begins September 30 in Charlotte and continues through late October, with additional Soccer Mommy dates following in Portland and Memphis later this year.
